The search function can be used to locate proposals in that zone or other zones, if they have been configured that way, with specific attributes, such as industry or product type.
Attribute search menus are populated with general attributes and values for that zone. If configured to search across all zones, then menus will be populated with all general attributes and values from all zones. You must first select a proposal attribute. You may select from the pull-down list of values, or you may also type in the value to be searched for. For a shortcut, you can enter an attribute value in the Keywords textbox. This is not the same as keyword search in Document Search. Keywords refers to an attribute value where the exact attribute may not be known or there is no pull-down menu for values. When searching for a value in this way, a "like" will be performed and will show all results that contain the word entered including partial hits. Entering the term “Michael” would return results when the value is “Michael Ruddick” or Ruddick, Michael” for example. Results will be returned for value matches regardless of the attribute. The process is similar when free text is entered in value field for a particular attribute, but the results would be limited to that attribute.
If multiple attributes are selected, then a list of proposals that meet all of the criteria will be returned. If the same attribute is selected multiple times, but with different values, then all proposals with any of those selected values will be returned.
